Built in the Eclectik Architectural style by Şekip Nakip in 1920s, The Liwan Hotel is one of the best examples of the structures of this kink. In the structure designed with lanai stone valults and arches were used. The first dwellers of the residence were the first President of Syria , Suphi Bereket, and his family. The beautiful and noble work of art of Antakya has also been used as a " French Residence" and Treasurer's Department".

The restoration of the building purchased by Tevfik and Hüseyin Pehlivan brothers was started in 2005 and carried out without any change in its historical texture and was introduced as a hotel to the tourism of Antakya in October, 2008.

· Great
A tastefully decorated boutique hotel in a historical building in the center of Antakya. The employees are friendly and polite. The breakfast, including local delicacies, is excellent. Close to everywhere. They were also very helpful for the sightseeing trip. Special thanks to Mr. Mehmet and Mr. Levent.

Unfortunately, some rooms did not have windows in the old stone building, as they could not carry out any operations against the license. There was also a shortage of hot water in the new building.

I recommend you to choose this place, which is an authentic accommodation in the center of Antakya. Although it does not offer an advanced level of service, it can be preferred due to its location and the historical background of the building.
