Places to eat in Antakya

The cuisine of Antakya, which has hosted many different civilizations, is also very rich. There are about 400 dishes from the region. The most commonly used ingredients are bulgur, meat, spices and yogurt. In Antakya cuisine, you can taste dishes with different names such as arap aşı, tray kebab, Antakya kebab, belen pan, aşür, chicken in salt, salty yogurt, cercerun, bezirgani, kömeç, şahudi, sheikh muallâ, sürk cheese, çökelek and kumbursiye.    
Apart from these beautiful flavors, you should definitely try dishes such as eggplant salad, Antakya bagel, gum murçu, libye and sıhılmahsi.   
The most famous dessert unique to Antakya is the well-known künefe. You can find masters almost everywhere in Antakya where you can taste the best künefe. Çınaraltı Künefe - Yusuf Usta'nın Yeri. When it comes to künefe, Hatay comes to mind first. The cheese is deep, the kadayif is thin, the sherbet is balanced... 
Pöç Butcher. One of the best places to try Hatay food. Sini (tray) kebab and paper kebab are the first ones that stand out... 
Sveyka Restaurant. In addition to Antakya cuisine, you can also find examples from Aleppo cuisine. Especially the Goose Head and appetizers are definitely worth a try. 
Long Bazaar. In Uzun Bazaar, where you can find a master of almost every dish, you can taste kebabs in the butcher shops, pickles and hummus in the hummus shops, and the best fava beans you can eat in Turkey in the fava bean shops.

You can dine for Antakya and Lebanese appetizers (don't go without a reservation as they are full for the evening), if you drink alcohol, there are imported beers at olive konaği on the harbiye road. Do not return without eating the tray kebab in the historical covered bazaar. Simon's monastery windmills, the Gölbaşı in Kırkhand, Antakya viewing hill is a great view for the night.
