How to get to Parga?
Parga is located on the mainland side of Greece. So transportation is quite easy. The nearest airports are Preveza (Aktion) Airport and Ioannina Airport. You can reach the town in 1-2 hours by bus or renting a car. For those coming from the Adriatic coast, transportation can be provided from Igoumenitsa Port with a journey of approximately 45 minutes.
Places to visit in Parga Island
Venetian Castle Marking the skyline of Parga, this historic castle overlooks the town from above. Ideal for both landscape and history buffs. If you happen to be here at sunrise or sunset, photo opportunities are guaranteed.
Agia Castle (Ali Pasha Castle): 5-6 km from the center, this castle, which you can reach after a walk in nature, bears traces of the Ottoman period. It is perfect for those looking for a quiet historical journey among olive trees.
Panagia Island: A tiny island just across the coast. It impresses with its lovely white church. Renting a canoe and traveling around the island is another pleasure.
The Most Beautiful Beaches in Parga Island
Valtos Beach: Just behind the castle. With its long sandy beach, clear water and surrounding cafes, it is the ideal place for both relaxation and water sports.
Lichnos Beach: For those looking for a quieter atmosphere. Grab a sun lounger, a book and relax for hours to the sound of the sea.
Sarakiniko Beach: A little far from the center but definitely worth a visit. A peaceful swimming experience in the shade of olive trees, alone with nature.

Taverna Stefanos: On Valtos Beach, popular for its seafood and friendly atmosphere.
Castello Restaurant: Located on the stone streets under the castle, it's a romantic choice for dinner.
Barakouda: Shabby but fresh seafood. Also a favorite of the locals.
Magic Cream: Vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and biscuits.
Motley Coffee Sweet: Coffee ice cream and biscuit harmony.
Kurabiyedes: Traditional cookies with almond and lemon flavors.
Gum mastic custard: For a light and aromatic finish.
When to visit Parga?
The ideal period is late May to mid-September. June and September are a bit quieter, while August is lively but energetic. Whichever month you go, Parga will slow you down and you will feel lighter.
