How to get to Ilgaz

The distance between Çankırı Center is approximately 65 km. There are continuous shuttles and lines from the center and surrounding districts to Ilgaz. There are also buses to Çankırı from almost every region of Turkey. Although there is no airport in the city, Ankara Esenboğa Airport can be used. If you are coming with your own private car, you can reach Ilgaz via Ankara-Kastamonu road (E-80) and then you can reach the ski centers via the signs. Those coming from the Black Sea side can reach Ilgaz by following the Samsun-Kastamonu-Ankara route from the opposite direction of the same road. It is also possible to reach Ilgaz by returning to Çankırı from the Istanbul-Gerede route. Since Ilgaz is a Central Anatolian district, it is close to the connection of many roads.
