Adrasan Guide

Adrasan is a magnificent bay surrounded by pine trees. It has very interesting natural beauties with its sea, sand and forests. At the southern end of Adrasan is the ancient city of Olympos and to the northwest is Yanartas (Chimera).
Adrasan is located in Kumluca district of Antalya, about 95 km. away from the center and became a town in 1996. You can reach Adrasan via Kemer. It has an interesting bay surrounded by pine trees. It receives reverse winds blowing from land to sea and therefore it is a town dominated by wind power. In the past years, sailboats could not enter this bay and carried the traces of civilization to Olympos, Phaselis and Antalya ports.
The name Adrasan comes from Greek and the town is also known as Çavuşköy with its new name. The bay, which rests its back against Beydağları, is full of interesting natural beauties with sandy ground and shallow sea and no highway. It is also a unique course for those who are interested in water sports.

In the region where the sea water temperature is high and the holiday season lasts long, especially the clear sea with an underwater visibility of 29 meters creates sufficient conditions for fishermen and underwater photographers.

Adrasan's enclosed bay has a wide and long sandy beach. It is possible to swim from everywhere. Eliğ, which is connected to Mount Musa across the bay, attracts attention with its silhouette resembling a camel with a collapsed top. Markız hill is located at the beginning of the bay. The heights in the forest on both sides of Adrasan Bay exhibit beauties that will provide an idea of how aesthetic the bay is.

For those who are interested in sightseeing, the ancient city of Olympos and the mythological mountain Yanartaş with its unquenchable fire are among the closest sightseeing places. Çıralı, Kaş, Demre, Myra, Patara, Xantos, Phaselis and Antalya are other places to visit.

In Adrasan, which has a long summer season, holidaymakers staying in the shade of monumental plane trees spend most of their time in the garden, terrace and Adrasan's famous beach and sea. The left head of the bay along the 2 km beach of Adrasan in Kumluca district is known as Dere Mevkii. The spring water originating from the Tahtalı Mountains contains fish such as sea bass and mullet. The right side of the bay draws attention as a busy area with hotels, pensions and even a second street. There are mountain hiking areas for those who are interested in the environment and hiking.
From Oturak Bay, those who come across Karaöz Neighborhood nearby enter another private bay with daily picnic areas decorated with nearly 200 villas, known as the place of Ankara residents. Following Karaöz, the bay named Papaz İskelesi, which follows the coast, serves as another daily picnic area under the shade of pine trees.
