Shopping in Alacati
The village bazaar in Alaçatı on Saturdays enlivens the town and people from every corner of the peninsula come to shop. In this bazaar, friendly people sell the fruits, vegetables and herbs they grow in their gardens. On Saturdays and Sundays, an antique bazaar is held in the square where the Pazar Yeri Mosque, which was converted from a church, is located. One of the first antique bazaars in Turkey, this bazaar brings all kinds of old items from every corner of Anatolia. On the streets of Alaçatı, you will encounter shops that will surprise you and you will be impressed by so many special products. Paintings by important artists, sculptures, original jewelry, very special linen collections, local olives and olive oil, special ceramic productions are some of the products waiting for you to discover in these shops. A bunch of lavender, sage, bougainvillea in a tin will leave you with unique memories.
