Things to do in Izmir

When you come to Izmir, you should start your day with a nice breakfast by the sea in the morning. Afterwards, you can take a nice walk in Kordon. You can take a coffee break in the cafes on Kordonboyu, against the sea.
You can visit Izmir's historical mosques, churches, synagogues, inns and baths. You can walk the streets of Izmir, shop in the historical bazaars and inns and take lots of photos. You can go to the historical Kemeraltı Bazaar.
You can have a nice trash skewer feast during the day. You can take day trips to the districts of Izmir such as Alsancak, Foça and Urla.
You can enjoy the sea and the sun on Izmir's beautiful beaches and take boat tours for a day. 
You can visit historical places in the surrounding districts. You can visit the ancient city of Ephesus and its museum, the house and church of the Virgin Mary, Şirince Village. You can go to holiday resorts such as Çeşme and Alaçatı for a day trip.
You can go diving in Çeşme and windsurfing in Alaçatı. You can go to the plateaus at the foot of Bozdağlar. You can plan nature walks or cycling tours.

You can go hunting in the forests around Izmir and Cesme. You can go bird watching in the Küçük Menderes basin. If you are in time, you can go to the Izmir International Fair, which opens every year in August, and participate in the events. You can attend the Ephesus Festival organized at the Ephesus Ancient Theater.
In the evening, you can enjoy raki fish against the sunset at the fish restaurants by the sea. Afterwards, you can spend time in different entertainment venues.
