Things to do in Sile

There are many different activities you can do when you come to Şile. Therefore, just a two-day weekend may not be enough for you.   

When you come to Şile, you can spend time on its long beaches and clean sea. Especially if you are in the summer months, you can enjoy the sea and the sun.   

You can see Şile Castle and Şile Lighthouse. Şile Lighthouse is the second largest lighthouse in the world. You can see Değirmençayırı and Hacıllı Waterfalls. You can visit Eleven Lakes Valley and Hidden Lake. 

You can visit the churches, tomb ruins, mosques, inns and baths from the Byzantine and Ottoman periods in the region. You can see Şile houses.   

You can visit the Crying Rocks and Kumbaba Hill. You can plan a nice walk on the trails in the lush forests. You can also have a picnic or camping. You can participate in activities such as ATV rides, jeep safari and paintball. If you are a hunting enthusiast, you can hunt.   

You can participate in the “Şile Cloth Culture and Art Festival” organized in the last week of July. You can attend concerts and activities organized within the scope of the event.   

You can enjoy a nice fish in the fish restaurants by the lake or the sea. You can take plenty of nature photos during your Şile trip.
