Places to Eat in Thessaloniki
Appetizers stand out on the menu; eggplant paste, fava, mantı, sea beans... Flavors we know but miss. Moreover, when we think of meze, we don't mean tiny plates, but hearty portions. You don't just eat here, you enjoy it.
If you want something a little more authentic for dinner, don't miss The Rouga. It's a small taverna, but the vibe is big. Grilled octopus, shrimp, Greek salad with plenty of olive oil and you feel like you're in the middle of the Aegean. Don't forget to make a reservation before you go, because Thessaloniki residents have already discovered this place.
If you want to have an original cocktail with your meal, the address is obvious: Purovōku Project. Not only are the cocktails beautiful, but the ingredients are also fresh because they are prepared with products from their own greenhouse. It has both a bar and a garden atmosphere and a very creative menu. We highly recommend it to those who are bored of the classics.
Other places we tried and recommended;

8. Toumba District: The Toumba area in Thessaloniki is known as the center of student life and there are many affordable tavernas and cafes here.
9.Palati Restaurant: Consisting of 3 sections, it was one of the places we enjoyed eating at recently. Everything was delicious, especially the saganaki, calamari and fried zucchini, and we were very satisfied. The price was also reasonable compared to other places. There are also musical events in the garden in the evenings, and if you go in winter, the place has a covered entrance and upper floor.
10. High School Pizza Bar: As you can understand from its name, it is famous for serving pizza in the morning. If you have the chance to go early, you can enjoy your breakfast overlooking the sea.
11. We recommend Argofageio for Greek food, Trigona Elenidi for local desserts, Prytanio for affordable and family groups, and Marea Sea Spirit for seafood lovers.
