Places to Eat in Kos Island
Eating on Kos Island is not only a necessity, but one of the most enjoyable ways to taste the spirit of the island. The tables set by the sea, the gentle breeze at sunset and the fresh flavors on the plate, for us, the unforgettable moments of our days in Kos started at these tables.
Caravelle Restaurant: Located right next to Averof Street on the seafront in the center of Kos, Caravelle was the place where we had our first dinner and immediately impressed us with its atmosphere. It offers a calm but elegant environment by the sea. After Rhodes, we were surprised by the prices, they were more affordable and very satisfying in terms of presentation and taste. A table full of seafood while watching the sunset is very enjoyable here.
Alberto Restaurant: Located very close to Caravelle, Alberto also became one of our favorites. The garlic bread, with its crispy texture and intense aroma, was a reason to come back again. We tried the Greek Salad and grilled calamari, both of which were fresh and filling despite the simple presentation.
Zia Watermill Cafe: This cafe, which we visited after watching the sunset in Zia village, was almost a hidden flavor spot. The pasta with mussels and bolognese sauce we ordered was simple but perfectly prepared. A dinner like this in nature, accompanied by a gentle breeze, is a memorable experience.
Special Ice Cream Shop: For those who are looking for dessert after dinner, we highly recommend this little shop, a true ice cream paradise. After Dolphin Square, take the first street across from the boats and walk a few steps. Be sure to try the mastic and yogurt ice cream flavors, they are refreshing and unusual. The ice creams are prepared daily and there are many innovative options besides the classic flavors.
