Assos Longevity Hotel - Assos Ayvacık Canakkale Turkey reviews, photos and reservations. Best rates guaranteed.

Assos is a place where ancient stone streets, panoramic views from the Temple of Athena, the breeze of Behramkale, and the coastline stretching all the way to Babakale come together. It’s an ideal destination for travelers who want more than just a beach holiday. Spend your morning exploring the ancient city, set sail to secluded coves in the afternoon, and slow down beneath centuries-old olive trees as the sun begins to set.

That’s exactly why choosing the right place to stay in Assos matters. Located in the Sokakağzı area, @longevityhotel is approximately 10.5 km from the Ancient City of Assos and just 600 meters from Sivrice. Its private beach is about 400 meters from the hotel. Instead of a sandy shoreline, you’ll find a crystal-clear coast with a jetty—perfect for those who prefer relaxing in the shade after a swim rather than spending the day on a crowded beach. The seaside scene in the first photo was taken at this very private beach area.

What I love most about Assos is that you can dedicate one day to history, another to the sea, and another to doing absolutely nothing—and no one makes you feel like you should have a schedule. The olive groves have a wonderfully convincing way of slowing everything down.

This time, I stayed at Assos Longevity Hotel, nestled within a 13-acre olive grove.

The hotel’s story reflects the spirit of the region. In 2017, the owners purchased an olive grove that already included a small eight-room guesthouse. The original idea was to use it as a training and retreat center for employees of their other companies. While the guesthouse continued operating, construction of the hotel began and was completed in 2019. After the pandemic, when the property was vacant during certain periods, they decided to open it to guests as well. Today, Longevity has been welcoming visitors for around four years.

✏️ Good to know: The hotel welcomes guests aged 16 and above. It is also pet-friendly, with pets accepted in selected room categories when requested during the reservation process.

A special 5% discount is planned for followers of Küçük Oteller throughout 2026 using an exclusive promotional code.

Architecturally, the hotel stays true to Assos’ traditional stone character. Perhaps the most impressive detail is that not a single tree on the property was cut down during construction. Trees that had to be relocated were carefully replanted elsewhere within the grounds. As a result, the hotel feels less like a newly built property and more like a natural extension of an olive grove that has existed for generations.

The concept was inspired by nature-integrated boutique hotels in France and Italy, yet the final result remains unmistakably Assos. Silence, stone, olive trees, the sea, and highly personalized hospitality define the experience here. The hotel’s Special Facility Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism further reflects its commitment to preserving the area’s natural and historical character.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the property is that it offers much more than a typical seaside escape. Hidden within the gardens is Turkey’s first private Open-Air Sculpture Museum. Featuring works by artists from around the world, the collection has now grown to 14 sculptures, with new additions arriving each year. Walking through the grounds, you sometimes feel like you’re wandering through an art exhibition and other times like you’re simply strolling through a peaceful garden—both feelings are equally true.

Another excellent reason to stay here is the hotel’s exclusive boat tours, available only to guests. Operated with two boats, these trips follow the spectacular coastline between the Ancient City of Assos and Babakale. Seeing this coastline from the sea is an entirely different experience, especially at sunset, when you begin to understand why people have chosen to settle here for thousands of years.

The culinary philosophy is equally rooted in the region. Assos and its surroundings are said to be home to around 100 edible plant species, 24 of which are endemic to this area alone. Breakfast features Ezine cheese, traditional clotted cream cultured with animal rennet, Çanakkale tomatoes, seasonal herbs, vegetables grown in the hotel’s own greenhouse, meat from its farm, and naturally produced eggs from around one hundred free-range chickens. The hotel actively supports local producers—especially women entrepreneurs—and its chefs revive traditional regional recipes while using seasonal ingredients whenever possible.

• Nadas Bakery

• @pusula.co — Pusula & Co.

A simple three-day Assos itinerary:

Day 1: Explore the Ancient City of Assos, the Temple of Athena, and the charming streets of Behramkale.

Day 2: Join Longevity’s private boat tour to Babakale and enjoy one of the region’s unforgettable sunsets.

Day 3: Walk the Assos Hiking Trail, visit the Open-Air Sculpture Museum, and discover local artisan producers.

The hotel also supports the Assos Hiking Trail Project, contributes to the developing School of Philosophy, and participates in cultural initiatives connected to the ancient city. Staying here is therefore not an isolated resort experience but an opportunity to engage with the history, culture, and community surrounding it.

For the new season, the hotel has introduced an infinity pool overlooking the landscape. Looking ahead, a new Hyper Wellness spa is planned for winter, while yoga retreats, cycling routes, outdoor cinema nights, and guided walks among the sculptures allow guests to shape each day at their own pace.

This isn’t the kind of holiday where every minute needs to be filled with activities. It’s a place where you can leave your phone in your bag for a few days, dive into the sea from a jetty, notice that tomatoes actually smell like tomatoes at breakfast, and spend your evenings without worrying about what comes next.

If that sounds like your kind of escape, this side of Assos might be exactly what you’re looking for.

I describe Longevity as the pearl of Assos. It may have been our most peaceful summer. Everything is in order with its management and service. The only address for our next getaways. I recommend it to everyone 🌺

We went to this place as a stay for our holiday but left the hotel as if we left our home. Not only the view from our room was breathtaking but also the way the hotel has been designed. In every corner of the hotel there is a place where you can take a moment for yourself and read a book. No one interrupts you and everyone is super respectful. Not to forget the delicious but most importantly healthy food we eat that were mostly produced in the backyard of the hotel. As a family we could feel the passion and serenity the owner of the hotel has. Special thanks to miss Yasemin that asked us everyday if everything was as we wished and never stopped smiling. The four of us have found the composition we searched for. A holiday to never forget :) Greatings from Amsterdam

A small boutique hotel. Their first season is this year (2019). We fainted. On their return, they gave an olive sapling certificate as a gift, saying that they were planting an olive sapling in their nursery on behalf of each of their guests. We liked it so much that we thought maybe it would be an alternative for those who love peace, tranquility and farm life like us.
