Greece is located on the opposite shore of the Aegean, surrounded by deep blue seas, full of history and warm people. Greece is not only our neighbor, but also the country that is culturally closest to us, yet offers a very different experience.  For us, it is not just a neighbor, but a place where thousands of years of history, mythology, art and traditions blend together. It is a place where ancient ruins and modern life are intertwined, where both the traces of the past and the vibrant energy of today coexist. Greece is like a refuge with its peaceful breezes coming from the sea, its warm people and its unique way of life. For the peace-seeking traveler, the tranquil islands and for the history-loving traveler, cities like Athens and Thessaloniki offer different possibilities to explore. Going to Greece is much more than just seeing the visible beauties, experiencing it, touching it, participating in the daily life of the Greek people is one of the most important parts of this trip.

When to go to Greece?

Greece is sunny most of the year thanks to its Mediterranean climate. The spring (April-June) and fall (September-October) periods are both less crowded and ideal in terms of weather. In summer (July-August), the islands are more lively and bustling, but temperatures can be quite high. In winter, cities like Athens and Thessaloniki are ideal for historical and cultural excursions.

It is quite easy to go to Greece from Turkey. There are direct flights to Athens from major cities such as Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara. It is also possible to reach many Greek islands by ferry from the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. Especially lines such as Ayvalık-Midilli, Bodrum-Kos, Çeşme-Sakız are very popular in the summer months. It is worth remembering that a Schengen visa is required.
