The word bahab means ‘a deep and wide joy one feels at an unexpected moment of encounter that one has dreamt of for a long time, or which is something even unimaginable.’ Our encounter with this stone house in Güllübahçe, which used to be the monastery of the old Greek village Gelebeç, was such a moment of bahab for us. Bahab Guest House lies at the foots of Mount Mycale, which marks the border of Dilek Peninsula National Park.
The view of Söke Plain that extends spaciously to the Latmos Mountains will get your eyes attune to vastness, and the starry nights will make your hearts open up to the sky again.
In every corner of Bahab Guest House, you will stumble upon antiques that have witnessed various moments in history. Our rooms are authentic and unique.
At breakfast, we serve home-made jams, cheese, olives, fresh eggs and other local delicacies. All our produce is chosen meticulously and where possible locally sourced and eco-friendly.
Our intent at Bahab Guest House is to prioritise friendship and communication over differences, becoming harmonious over imposing monotony. We came here from a metropolis to decelerate time and to touch the seasons. With each passing day, we come to notice the importance of sharing whatever gives us peace and joy, and we feel delighted as we share. We wish all our guests to take a serene breath here.
St. Nicholas Church is just across the road and Priene Ruins is within walking distance. Doğanbey Village and Karina, Miletus Ruins, Temple of Apollo at Didyma, Lake Bafa, Herakleia Ruins and Latmos Mountains, Dilek Peninsula National Park, Ephesus Ruins, The House of the Virgin Mary and Şirince Village are within one hour driving distance.
