Shopping in Ankara

Ankara is famous for its cats, goats, honey, pears, mohair and a local grape called Kale Karasi. You can also find handmade items made of copper, pottery, wicker and leather in the bazaars in Ankara.    

You can buy souvenirs, ornaments, jewelry and local figures or antiques. You can see spice shops and places selling dried herbs around the castle gate. You can buy clothes and textile products.

Ottoman-era items: You can find Ottoman-era items such as antiques, coins, and stamps that can make a unique souvenir.

It is worth noting that bargaining is common in markets and small shops, so you may be able to negotiate a lower price on items.
