Things to do in Poros Island
When you come to Poros Island, everything slows down a bit. The rush of time fades as you walk the streets, and you don't worry about how the day will pass as you drink your coffee by the sea in the morning. It's a good enough plan to cool off in the pine-shaded bays during the day, read a book on beaches like Love Bay where green and blue blend together, or just close your eyes and listen to the birdsong. Everything on the island is small, simple and intimate.
You can walk to the center where the Clock Tower is located and look at the view of the opposite shore from above, walk along the harbor at sunset, and in the evening you can sit in a tavern along the beach and have a long dinner with fresh appetizers accompanied by light music. This is how time passes in Poros. Even when you're not in the sea, it's a pleasure just to cycle around and dive into the alleyways. At some point you leave the road between the hills, then go down to the shore again, and each time you come across a different view. Sometimes a cove hidden behind a rock, sometimes a path among lemon trees.
Nothing on the island is pretentious; that's precisely why it has a way of drawing you in. Whether you come for a few hours or stay for a few days, you will always have a little bit of Poros in the back of your mind.
