Places to see in Bandırma

Manyas Bird Paradise Lake, Manyas Lake, located 15 kilometers from Bandırma Bay, is the most important natural wonder of the district and is one of the places you must see. Manyas Lake, which has fresh water, is home to many living things. Since the Bird Sanctuary is located on the path of migratory birds, it has become a frequented place for many birds. The Bird Sanctuary right next to Manyas Lake has been made a National Park and this natural beauty has been taken under protection. In this place, where there are many bird species, there are also bird species such as crested pelican, spoonbill and paddy. The Agricultural Garden on the Erdek road, which allows the local people to have a pleasant picnic in the forest, is an important place for those who want to be close to the city and get forest air. For those who like to visit museums, Bandırma Archeology Museum, which houses artifacts from the Persian and Roman periods, is a nice place. The ancient city of Kyzikos, where the ruins of the ancient city-state Kyzikos, located 10 km from the center of Bandırma on the Erdek highway, is also a unique place for history lovers. Daskyleion Ancient City, located near Ergili Village on the shore of Bird Lake, is also a historical settlement. Daskyleion Ancient City was founded by the Persians on the fertile lands of Lake Manyas.
