Marmaris Hisaronu Guide

Hisarönü in the Marmaris district of Muğla is one of our holiday resorts with an increasing tourism potential in recent years. It is a cozy town between Marmaris and Datça and covered with lush forests. There are still untouched bays and regions. Moreover, it is quite calm, serene and peaceful compared to many resorts in the Mediterranean and Aegean.   

The most enjoyable part of Marmaris-Datça road, which is a narrow and winding road that rises quite high for a while, is the view of Hisarönü on one side and Gökova Gulf on the other. 
    

When you turn left at the 22nd km. of Datça road and take the Bozburun road, after 1 km. you come to Hisarönü village. Hisarönü is located at the end point of the bay that bears its name. The village is a little further in from the main road. Hisarönü, where the sea is shallow and the sand is tile-colored, is the choice of those who want to spend a quiet holiday away from the crowds of Marmaris. Hisarönü's always breezy, humidity-free air and clean water are known to be good for those with asthma and heart diseases.
    

On the plain called Pazarlık (or Gavur Pazarı) on Eren Mountain between the village and the bay, the ruins of a temple city called Kastabos stand out. The ruins belong to the Temple of Hemithea. The ancient historian Sicilian Diodoros tells that a woman named Molpadia (singer) brought to this region by Apollo was worshipped under the name of Hemithea (demi-goddess) and that a temple was built for her and that the temple's fame continued for a long time.

The sea of Hisaronu town has every shade of blue. Green and blue embrace right here. Spending time in the clean bays and beaches will really make you forget the tiredness of the whole year.   

Hisaronu hotels are also located in the lap of lush green nature in such beauty. They are zero to the sea. Many Hisaronu hotels have their own beaches. There are also swimming pools so that families with children can stay with peace of mind.   

Some of the Hisaronu hotels are open all year round, while others open in the months when the summer vacation season starts and serve until November. They usually serve bed and breakfast or half board. But you can taste a wide variety of delicious dishes in their restaurants throughout the day.
