Del Mare Hotel Ölüdeniz
We know that once you’ve been to Ölüdeniz, you start looking for excuses to go back. The turquoise water is so calm that it doesn’t even seem to mind the paragliders gliding above it; Babadağ rises above, a perfectly flat turquoise sea stretches below, and there we are right in the middle of it all. This time, we stayed right at the heart of that tranquility, just 50 meters from the beach: @delmareoludeniz.
del Mare is a family-run hotel belonging to a local family that has lived in this region for generations. In a short chat with hotel owner Burak Kuyucak, he described Ölüdeniz not as “a place where we host guests,” but as “our home.” And as you walk around the hotel, you realize that this isn’t just something he says — it genuinely feels that way. The property has 25 rooms, a modern design, a lush green garden and a swimming pool. We stayed in the Deluxe Sea View Room, which quickly became our favorite. You look straight out over the sea from the balcony, and having your morning coffee there is something special.
Breakfast is served as an open buffet and is included in the room rate. For lunch and dinner, we chose the hotel’s own restaurant, where hotel guests also receive an additional 10% discount on dinner. But perhaps del Mare’s biggest advantage is its location: Ölüdeniz Beach and the famous Blue Lagoon are just a 10-minute walk away, while the paragliding take-off points on Babadağ can be reached with a short transfer. In other words, both the sea and the sky are right on your doorstep.
🐶 The hotel welcomes both children and furry friends, making it an easy choice for families and those traveling with their pets. And while watching the paragliders glide down from Babadağ, we keep thinking the same thing: if no one had ever told Icarus “don’t fly too close to the sun,” he probably would have ended up here too — landing right on this endless turquoise.
