Places to Eat in Alexandroupoli

1. Nisiotiko: The first place that comes to mind when it comes to seafood in Alexandroupoli. It offers elaborate and delicious dishes such as calamari with pesto sauce, mussels with lemon sauce and shrimp noodle pilaf. The presentations are elegant, the service polite. Comfortable for Turkish guests: the menu is in Turkish and the staff speaks Turkish. Reservation is a must.

2. Zourafa: Located in the shade overlooking a small square, this taverna enchants with its ambiance and menu. Honey sesame feta cheese, fried zucchini and seafood risotto are among the highlights. There is a Turkish menu and staff support. We recommend making a reservation in the evenings.

3. Loukoulos: One of the first taverns you will see while walking along the promenade. It offers a pleasant atmosphere with its tables on the beach or on the street. Spinach salad, grilled Chios cheese and calamari are quite successful. Turkish menu is available.

4. Taverna Gialos: Another option on the Kordon line. In summer, it is a pleasure to be served at the tables on the embankment. The appetizers are delicious and the service is fast. The menu is in Turkish, it would be good to make a reservation for the evening hours.

5. Konaki: A less touristic, more local suggestion. In the side streets of the city, it's a cool environment even in hot weather. Seafood orzo and various starters are recommended. Plates are big, so share. Friendly service and a Turkish menu.

6. St. George's Tavern: Close to Makri Beach, this tavern is perfect for a pleasant meal overlooking the sea. Popular dishes include shrimp rolls, seafood pasta and fried zucchini. It is also located in a beautiful bay for swimming.

7. Kanavidis: A “grill house”, Kanavidis is a shabby but delicious place mostly preferred by locals. The menu has few but concise options: meat products such as meatballs, sausages, sausages. Note that pork is predominant.

11. Kerouac: A modern place that feels like both a cafe and a bar. Egg dishes, breaded delicacies and bowls are quite varied. The coffee options are also satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy, the music is good and the menu is in Turkish.

12. Zopyron Foods: Zopyron is our breakfast favorite in the city, with its on-bread presentations, egg dishes and healthy bowls. Delicious and attentive. There is also a Turkish menu. It has a clean, peaceful atmosphere.
