Bordubet Guide
Bördübet, located in Hisarönü Village of Marmaris district of Muğla, is a magnificent holiday resort full of peace, where lush pine trees and the sea embrace. It has a clean air and the only sound you can hear in the resort is the sound of waves and crickets. Bördübet is approximately 90 kilometers from the center of Muğla and 25 kilometers from Marmaris. When you enter the road of Bördübet from Marmaris, you drive through wonderful forests. Bördübet, which is located on the face of the region facing the Gulf of Gökova and surrounded by forests, has a unique nature like many bays in the region. The most important feature is the sea that enters the dense pine forest through a channel 200 meters wide and 600 meters long. The sea surrounded by lush pine trees creates a perfect view especially for photography enthusiasts. Bördübet, a special environmental protection area, is home to wild animals such as mountain pigeons, goldfinches, nightingales, herons, hawks, wild boars, rabbits, squirrels, foxes and badgers. You are free to watch and listen to the birds, but do not forget to consult the locals if you are going to take a walk into the forest. The legend behind Bördübet's name is quite interesting. Years ago, the British soldiers hiding in this bay called the area “Bird the bed”, which means “Bird's Bed”, and the name of the area has changed shape until today and remained as Bördübet.Bördübet, where the sea intertwines with the forest to form an interesting bay, free from traffic and buildings; We would not be exaggerating if we say that it resembles a small “Amazon” with its plant, bird and animal varieties.
