Linasya Otel
Summer… but a different kind of summer in Bozcaada.
I know everyone reading this is thinking the same thing: “Wish I was there right now.”
🌊 The Silent Call of Bozcaada
Don’t ask, “What is there in Bozcaada?” Instead, ask yourself, “What isn’t there?”
🍇 Its nature is stunning, and the sea even more so. But what moved me the most was how time flows differently here. Waking up early before anyone else, walking barefoot to the shore… letting the cool waves kiss your face. Then returning to the hotel’s lush garden for breakfast, featuring eggplant pastries. This little ritual could easily become an addiction—trust me!
📌 Keep in mind: in Bozcaada, there’s no such thing as “bad accommodation.” Wherever you go, you’ll find a clean, crystal-clear sea. And the best times to visit? Early June and September—when crowds are few, and peace is plentiful.
🌿 A Dream That Leads to Bozcaada
🛏️ Where I Stayed: I’m writing these lines from the garden of Linasya Hotel, with a light island breeze that hasn’t quite lost the morning chill. As I sip my coffee, the distant cries of seagulls reach my ears. I look around and see the elegant calm of stone architecture. Everything is slow. Everything is peaceful. Just like Ray Bradbury once said:
“Summer is the one season brave enough to be honest.”
✨ Let’s be honest—don’t we all want to escape the crowds, listen to ourselves a little, maybe rediscover some inspiration? That’s exactly what Linasya Hotel offers—a tangible form of that feeling.
🏡 The Beginning of a Story
The hotel is run by Akgül Altok Öz and her husband Saadettin Bey, who both come from architecture and construction backgrounds. After years of projects at home and abroad, they first stepped onto Bozcaada in 2007—and never quite left.
💭 When they first saw this old building and its big, empty garden, something stirred inside them. A little voice said: “This should be a guesthouse. But not just any guesthouse—one that carries the soul of the island. A place that breathes.” And that’s how Linasya Hotel began.

They’ve beautifully renovated the entire space with handcrafted carved doors, solid wood furniture, and local stonework—all framed by a living, green garden.
🍷 Island Guide for the Slow Life Seeker
Even spending your whole day at Linasya Hotel can feel like therapy. But if you feel like exploring, Bozcaada has so much to offer. Here are my top three favorites:
🍤 Try the shrimp casserole at Vahitin Yeri—it’s a must.
🍩 The island delight at Nevreste’s will not only sound sweet, it’ll leave a mark on your taste buds.
🥐 And the eggplant pastries served at breakfast at the hotel… I actually asked for the recipe, but nope—some magic can’t be bottled.
🎶 Looking for a bit of nightlife? Check out the live music calendar at Kedi Bozcaada. Every street in the Greek Quarter leads to a different kind of night.

The light breeze, the soft glow of the sun, and faint music in the distance close out this post. My eyes wander across the stone walls of Linasya Hotel, and I think: “I’m so glad I came.”

Some places heal you.
