Directions to Istanbul

It is possible to reach Istanbul from every city in our country. You can reach Istanbul by road, sea, air and rail. If you are coming by bus, you can find direct flights from many cities. There are bus terminals either on the Anatolian or European side.    

For those who want to come by air, airline transportation is possible from many metropolitan cities. You can arrive at Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the Anatolian side or Atatürk Airport on the European side. From there, you can take shuttles or city transportation to the center.   

You can also come to Istanbul by rail from any city with a connection. There are stops at many points in Istanbul.   

For those who want to reach Istanbul by sea, it is possible to reach Istanbul by ferries and sea buses from Bursa. There are also ferry services to the city from the Islands. It is also possible to reach Istanbul by ferry from Izmir, especially during the summer months.

• Ankara - Istanbul is approximately 450 kilometers and takes 5 hours 40 minutes.
• The distance between Izmir and Istanbul is approximately 565 kilometers and takes 8 hours and 15 minutes.
• Adana - Istanbul is approximately 930 kilometers and takes 11 hours and 10 minutes.
• Bursa to Istanbul is approximately 240 kilometers and takes 4 hours.
• Kocaeli - Istanbul is approximately 125 kilometers and takes 2 hours 10 minutes.
• Eskişehir - Istanbul is approximately 325 kilometers and takes 3 hours 40 minutes.
