🚐 Travel adds a special dimension to our lives, bringing new dreams and simple authenticity. From Shantigo, we rented a manual transmission caravan that can be driven with a Class B license, and we met the sea in Erdek, winds in Bursa, calmness in Sapanca, and birds in the sky. 🌤👐🏼
👩🌾 We know very well how being close to nature can heal, that's why we embark on adventures in nature like Gulliver. We've charted a serene, harmonious, and cheerful route for ourselves. You can find highlights in our profile.
🌈 We drive the caravan slowly because the weather is indecisive. Besides, the day, which naturally belongs to humans, is stretching, and we have no hurry. One moment the sun is shining, the next moment it's raining. Is that a rainbow we see?
🍀 We've been craving the taste of doing nothing. By the way, our water tank is full enough to last us for 4 days, and the caravan's electric components powered by solar energy help us handle all our tasks without worries: we can charge our laptops and phones, and our heating and hot water needs are met.
📺 There's a smart TV unit that rises from a compartment, providing Netflix enjoyment with this ViewSonic monitor (bed cinema).
💤 Comfort is important to us. There's a double bed, a spacious table (which can be combined with chairs to become another single bed), and plenty of functional cabinets for your personal belongings. The compact toilet, shower, and sink are inside.
📌 @shantigotr caravans can be rented for a minimum of 3 days, and there's no mileage limit. Ours is 1,300 Lira per day. They offer a 20% discount for midweek and long-term (e.g., weekly) rentals.
🍴Eating and sleeping are crucial activities during caravan trips. When we set out from Istanbul/Pendik, we had made our preparations. Our rented caravan's kitchen includes a small fridge, gas stove, dishes, pots, pans, forks, and knives.😋
🌅 But the real pleasure comes from feeling like every beautiful corner belongs to you. Choose a view, park, set up your space, play your music, and sip your drink. Then, let out a sigh of relief, always!
🌳 We traveled through villages lined with old houses and ancient roads. Surrendering to the allure of nature, we stopped in a place where fields and paths overflowing with greenery captivated us. An essential aspect of caravan journeys is encountering brand-new perspectives and staying there, in that moment. It's 9 degrees outside, and we're sitting at the table wearing our coats, drinking our coffee. We enjoy moments of tranquility lingering on our palate.
🍃 Hopefully, we'll never be in a hurry in life again... We're thinking about what we want to hold onto and let go of in our lives, even though the end of the year is still ahead of us. For those curious: You need to empty the accumulated dirty water every 2-3 days. Shantigo offers both caravan rental and purchase options. We recommend experiencing it at different times before making a decision. We couldn't help but think how enjoyable it would be in the spring and summer months.☀️
