Things to do in Alacati in Winter

Alaçatı, typically seen as a summer holiday destination, becomes even more enjoyable during this time of year. Particularly, being away from the seasonal crowds is the most delightful aspect...

Strolling leisurely around the village square, not having to wait in line at venues, and relaxing without noise are the greatest pleasures. Plus, flight and accommodation rates are much cheaper than during the high season. Various types of venues also remain open in the winter. It's an ideal destination for a quick 2-3 day getaway, if you ask me.

After walking around the market and boutiques and taking a breath of fresh air, one can sit at the cafes in the square, like Köşe Kahve or Sailors Cafe. There's a warm atmosphere where everyone feels like a local, sitting close together at neighboring tables. At Alaçatı Misk, it's possible to enjoy coffees in different flavors and colors, like matcha latte or beet latte.

Although the hotels have nice breakfasts, for those who can't get enough of exploring new places, you might want to visit a breakfast spot that I've heard a lot about called Sakız Reçeli. You'll enjoy the breakfast menu, snacks, and drinks.

Şerefe Meyhane or Karinna Fish, which are open year-round, would be good choices. It becomes much more enjoyable with fewer tables to serve, and the service is excellent. Other lovely places include; Asma Yaprağı, Mitu restaurant inside Alavya hotel, and Insula Alaçatı.

You could also venture a little from Alaçatı to Çeşme Port and visit 'Ferdi Baba', which also hosts a small restaurant called Baba Pizza. This is one of the best places to get great service this season.

For those interested in nightlife, the bar 'Göz Lounge' is always in its place. If you have any recommendations, let us know!

As you can see, the winter months in Alaçatı aren't much different from the summer... except for the lack of unnecessary crowds! Of course, if that bothers you, I wouldn't know. But if you think like me, these times might be the best to visit the area…
