Mykonos Guide

Mykonos Island, with its white houses, blue windows, narrow stone streets, party beaches and romantic sunsets, is probably where that “Aegean dream” you've been dreaming of begins. Whether it's your first time or you've visited many times, Mykonos shows a completely different side every time. Sometimes fun, sometimes calm, sometimes elegant, sometimes simple, but always special.

How to get to Mykonos Island?

You can reach Mykonos Island by a short flight from Athens or by ferry from Piraeus Port. There are also direct flights from many European cities during the summer months. For those who love sea travel, boat trips between the Cyclades are another pleasure.

Things to do in Mykonos Island

Delos & Renia: If you are interested in mythology, you can go to Delos Island. Known as the birthplace of Apollo, this archaeological site is fascinating with its historical atmosphere. If you want to cool off a bit, you can take a boat to Renia and swim in the clear waters.

Shopping: Design boutiques, handmade jewelry, Aegean-inspired clothes, you're in the right place to shop. Strolling through the narrow streets decorated with lights at night feels like an open-air fashion show.

Nightlife: The island's nightlife is world class. After sunset, it takes on a different identity with bars, beach clubs and street parties. It doesn't have to be crowded, a quiet glass of wine on the beach can make your night unforgettable.

Villages: A completely different Mykonos awaits you once you get out of Hora. Ano Mera is a great stop to see the local life. You can have a natural experience intertwined with dairies, farms and traditional taverns. You can also explore different aspects of the island with activities such as windsurfing, diving or cycling.

Hora (Mykonos Town): The heart of the island beats in Hora. Watching the sunset on the coastline known as Little Venice, getting lost in the stone streets, passing by the houses covered with colorful bougainvillea is one of the simplest but most impressive things to do here. The church of Panagia Paraportiani and the windmills are also a must-see.
