A magnificent view, magnificent people. Bageni pension has peace, flavor, friendship and history. In addition, there is the beauty of the structures that the operators have made in peace with nature. When you come to the Black Sea, do not return without seeing this place. You can reach Bageni Pension, which is about 12 km from the center of Fındıklı. It is a place with 7-8 rooms that can accommodate about 18 people. I recommend it.
Story: I rolled up my sleeves to re-smoke the chimney of my tired, abandoned and idle grandfather's house, which is about a century old, and to fit a whole world inside. My father and brother appeared at the door, days chased days, and my mother retired and gave a hand. As the months were passing, my friends came. We passed the year, the tradesmen of the district gave their voices, and in about four years, we raised the big sycamore together.
Our first guests should definitely be children, so we made an English summer camp so that they could establish beautiful ties with the world, with three instructors, one of whom was a foreigner, we hosted our child guests from different cities of Turkey in our boarding house, and the children from my village and district for a week on a daily basis. In the time left over from English lessons, we made wooden cars and dragged them down the slopes. In the evenings we told stories from my culture, they didn't always listen to us, of course we listened to them.
With the few guests we had, we went to the neighbors for breakfast, in the evenings we participated in hazelnut picking, weddings and even funerals, we multiplied and told each other what we knew and our cultures.
With our groups, we explored nature, introduced Greek and Armenian culture in Trabzon, Hemshin culture in Çamlıhemşin, Laz culture in Fındıklı, Georgian culture in Artvin. We ate their food, accompanied their folkloric dances in the evening, created harmony with their folkloric instruments and had fun.
We brought universities and local people together, we held tourism and nature workshops, we shouldered the rightful struggles of women's organizations, we hosted them, we practiced yoga, we brought urbanites and villagers together and discovered what is right and wrong, we hosted travelers, we did not mind our animal friends coming and staying, we opened all our spaces to them and we were honored, we made theater on our forest stage, we gave concerts. We introduced new loves and shared their special moments together. We knew them as guests, not customers, and we became a big family.
Some stayed at Bageni Pension, some stayed at Bageni Bungalows, some wanted to cross the borders and preferred Bageni Safari Bungalows and our guests promised that they would come with more friends next time because they felt that they were in a big world. And they came and they are coming...
Nowadays I am glad I went back to my childhood, the wooden car I made my first toy has become a big toy today.
Bageni, which existed long before us, has been looking at the sea from a hill overlooking the valley for years. For years
