Ouranoupolis Village
Ouranoupolis is the town that welcomes pilgrims and prepares them for their spiritual journey to Mount Athos, hence its name which means city of the Sky. Prosforiou tower is the greatest monumental structure in Halkidiki. It built in 1344 by the Vatopedi Monastery on the protection of Ouranoupolis by pirates and was funded by the Byzantine Emperor Andronikos II. In the village many souvenir shops are available as well as local restaurants with traditional food.
Arnaia Traditional Village

Mount Athos

Visitors need a special permit to enter and can only visit by boat, with a strict "avaton" rule denying entry to all females. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its spiritual significance, historical monasteries, and a unique, isolated community of over 2,000 monks.
Ierissos Village
Ierissos is a coastal village in eastern Halkidiki, Greece, on the site of the ancient city of Akanthos, known for its long, Blue Flag-awarded sandy beach, significant fishing port, and connection to Mount Athos.
