-Nihat usta is also one of the best for Akçaabat meatballs. In Akçaabat, definitely go to Cemil usta and taste the hazelnut baklava, both meatballs and baklava off ki off ...
-There is a place called İskender paşa meatball place behind İskender paşa mosque in the bazaar, (not everyone knows it) go there too. There is also Muharrem Usta Dönercisi in the bazaar, the doner is great!
-For our other meatball suggestions, we recommend Mehmet Usta in Moloz, Kamiloğlu Meatball Hall and Kalafatoğlu meatball.
-Be sure to eat meat in Trabzon Menzil butcher and drink their sodas with it, you can also take extra oil from the oil while eating meat.
-Eat a pita at Bir Tat Pide in Vakıfıkebir, then you may want to go back and eat again.
-One of the best fish restaurants in Trabzon; Bordo Mavi Balık.

- For breakfast, you can visit Kireçhane Village Public Market which is only open on Sundays or Balkabağı Şarküteri -@balkabagisarkuteri - Faroz Fishermen's Shelter to drink tea, get sea air and set the day in the evening, Şahinkaya/Doğakaya, Trabzon's only/largest natural rock climbing garden (next to Nayino Mountain House) located right above it if you go to Çal Cave, We can recommend Kalamış Restaurant/Meyhane opposite the airport for its unique butcher's meatballs, Osman Hoca for the best / beautiful meat, Özdemir Butcher for closer / accessible, Yomra Cazılar Deresi Trout Facilities in terms of seeing the environment even if not for direct food.

Places to Visit in TrabzonHistorical texture is also a very satisfying place Trabzon. You can start your trip from Atatürk Mansion, where Atatürk also wrote his will. There is also a museum inside.

In Akçaabat, you can visit Ortamahalle, which is home to Ottoman-era mansions. The view of the Black Sea and Akçaabat is breathtaking, and the area is highly photogenic.

There’s a small Alaca Han in the city center, still hosting small workshops for handmade crafts. If you're interested, you can check it out.

One of the closest and most beautiful plateaus to the city center is Hıdırnebi Plateau. On clear days, you can enjoy a spectacular view, and it’s possible to witness the sea of clouds. If you go, don’t miss the higher Karester Hill, the Balıklı Göl, and Aygır Gölü! You can also find the famous swing at the plateau.

Trabzon Museum (Kostaki Mansion) & Ayasofya Museum are currently under restoration. It’s good to check their status before visiting.

We also recommend the Sisdağı Plateau in Şalpazarı district, which features a lake and waterfall.

There are many beautiful plateaus above Sümela. You can visit them in order, such as Santa Ruins, Taşköprü Plateau, Çakırgöl, Camiboğazı, Hanzarya Gorge, Kıromantik Kent, Imera, Karaca Cave, Torul Glass Terrace, and Zigana.

In the Sürmene area, start by visiting Araklı Asmasu Waterfall, then return to explore the Sürmene Zarha Mountain.

If you're heading to Uzungöl, it's better to visit these spots: Karestel Plateau, Haldizen, and the Yedi Göller region, which is among Atlas Magazine’s 50 Hidden Coves. Don’t miss Balıklıgöl, Aygır Gölü, Büyük Plateau, and Demirkapı Village.

Experience: Between Bayburt and Trabzon, there’s the Kırklar Mosque, an ideal spot for cloud sea views and drone photography. Since it's at a high elevation, access might be problematic in winter.

What to Buy in Trabzon?

Like every city, Trabzon offers a wide range of local souvenirs. You can buy some of the most iconic gifts for yourself or your loved ones. One of the most significant symbols is the Kemençe, a traditional musical instrument. You can also find local clothing and belts. Don't forget to buy a Peştemal (traditional towel). Telkari jewelry and souvenirs made with Trabzon's intricate metalwork are highly sought after. As Trabzon is famous for its knives, you can buy a local knife as well.
