Sunset safari in Cappadocia
Tourists visiting Cappadocia to see its unique natural beauties often join ATV tours that start before sunset, allowing them to navigate between fairy chimneys and enjoy the view as the sun sets.
Known for its fairy chimneys, rock-carved historical monasteries, cave hotels, and natural rock formations formed over millions of years, Cappadocia also offers a bird's-eye view from hot air balloons. Tourists joining these ATV tours get a close-up view of the region's enchanting beauty.
The sunset tour, which includes numerous ATVs exploring the valleys covered with natural rock formations, concludes as the sun dips below the horizon, casting light beams across the valleys.
In Cappadocia, ATV tours can be undertaken at any time of the day, with new routes now being designed specifically for the best views of the sunset. The tour, starting from Göreme two hours before sunset, travels through various valleys before pausing on the slopes of Güllüdere Valley. Here, tourists park their vehicles and watch the sunset.
Tourists both sightsee and have fun
Ertuğrul Demirhan, a guide at a firm organizing ATV tours in the region, told an AA correspondent that there has been a high interest in the sunset tours organized with ATVs lately.
He explained that the route passes through Çavuşin and Love valleys, and a break is taken on the slopes to allow tourists to enjoy the sunset view.
"We travel through the valleys with our guests for two hours on the ATV tour. We take a break at a certain point to let our customers watch the sunset. These vehicles are suitable for off-road conditions, so tourists both enjoy the ride and have fun," said Demirhan.
"This place is truly amazing"
Hasan Ceylan, who visited the region's historical and tourist sites from Antalya, chose the ATV tour to navigate between the fairy chimneys and watched the sunset after touring the valleys.
"We joined the hot air balloon tour and saw the sunrise from above in Cappadocia, which is a unique experience. However, we couldn’t walk around much, which is why we wanted to do an ATV tour as well. This way, we watched the sunset here, and this place is truly amazing," Ceylan commented.
Ceylan noted that he encountered many foreign tourists during the tour and added, "Everyone living in Turkey should see these places. It’s a great loss for our people not to visit here when people come all the way from China. https://www.boutiquesmallhotels.com/nevsehir-hotels
