Located in the area known as “Civilization Road,” the pavilion, bought in a ruined state in 2001, was opened to the world as an hotel after a restoration of about 10 years with limited funding. The pavilion took the name “Asude,” as well as the room names, by virtue of being an Ottoman pavilion. The approval of the guests, as well as warm friendships established in the pavilion rendered habitable with an effort of many years has made the hosts forget the hardships of the work performed. Because the manager is from one of the local families of Gaziantep, knows the local cuisine well, and has taken up cooking as a hobby, the guests have the possibility of tasting all the Antep dishes they desire and cannot find in the restaurants of Asude Konak.
In the small, cute pavilion with a total of 5 rooms, the local meals and breakfasts eaten in the garden under walnut trees in summer and in the iwan with a view of Tahtani Mosque and the Castle in the winter make the guests feel as though they are on a visit to the home of a family in Antep. Also open in winters, the facility is etched in the memory through conversations by the stove, accompanied by terebinth coffee, chestnuts and traditional kavurga dishes.
