If you're arriving by plane, the nearest airport is Kayseri Erkilet International Airport, which is located about 80 km from Goreme. From there, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to Goreme. Alternatively, you can arrive at Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport, which is located about 45 km from Goreme.
If you're arriving by bus, there are regular bus services from major cities in Turkey to Goreme. The closest major bus station is in Nevsehir, which is about 15 km from Goreme. From there, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Goreme.
If you're driving, you can reach Goreme from Ankara by taking the D200 highway, which goes through Aksaray and Nevsehir. From Istanbul, take the E80 highway towards Ankara, and then take the D200 towards Goreme.
Once you arrive in Goreme, the best way to explore the town and its surrounding area is on foot or by bicycle. You can also rent a car or take a guided tour to visit the various attractions in the area, including the Goreme Open-Air Museum, the Uchisar Castle, and the Pasabag Valley.
